Insurance & Fees

We provide a superbill for you to submit and file your claims to your insurance company for meeting deductible and reimbursement, if your plan covers any of our services.

We don’t process insurance through our office for two main reasons:

  1. A majority of the insurance companies don’t cover wellness and acupuncture services, so it’s not an efficient use of our staff’s time. We would have to raise our cost for all patients to mostly chase “no’s” to share with you (while it is different in the State of California, Florida and New York, they understand the value and do cover acupuncture).
  2. We work with your physicians. We don’t take your physician’s place but rather work as a team to help you achieve your health goals, so you still need your coverage for that care.

Cancellation Policy

We recognize our patients’ commitment to improving their health; as such, we strive to spend quality time with every patient. We understand that situations arise and we will make every effort to accommodate reschedules with appropriate notice.

To continue this standard of care for our patients, we have adopted a cancellation policy as of Oct. 1st, 2010.

New Patients Policy

$87 Deposit for initial 1.5-2.5-hour appointment (no appointment given without deposit)

At the time of booking, we require a credit card number which will be charged $87 (it will cover your initial 1.5-2.5-hour consultation and examination) to secure your 1.5-2.5-hour appointment time, since we are very busy and value your time, we don’t give out appointment unless the deposit is paid.

Please bring your past six months lab work and imaging result, completed Medical Info Form, and support person (your spouse, if you are married; or your family member) with you for your first visits. Since our medicine is lifestyle medicine, we found the result is significantly higher when the support person is accompanying the patient.

Cancellation requires notice of two business days in advance of your appointment. In case of a no-show or a cancellation without timely notice, you may reschedule your appointment at no additional cost. No refunds will be given for a no-show or cancellation that fails to reschedule within the appropriate time frame.

Follow-Up Patients

Cancellation requires notice of one business day in advance of your appointment. In case of a no-show or cancellation without timely notice, a $50 fee will be assessed.
